Clarion Surfrider is Hiring a Front Desk Associate Near Lincoln, OR

Hotel Desk Associate

Oregon Coast Hotel seeking a highly motivated individual with customer service experience, preferably hospitality specific, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities will include answering a multi line phone, engaging with guests to book reservations and handle concerns. This position reports directly to the manager. Essential Job Functions:

  • Work the reservation desk and computer program to ensure an optimal level of service and hospitality are provided to hotel guests.
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and standards and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Resolve minor customer complaints and identify when to escalate concerns to the manager.
  • Financial operations, cash handling and reconciliations in compliance with accounting controls and procedures.
  • Complete some basic inventory and daily task sheets.
  • Review correspondence from guests and respond in a professional manner both verbally and in written format.
  • Assist with vendors, write checks as directed.
  • Monitor occupancy of guest room space, understand OTA sites and work with the Management to assure best rate and booking practices.
  • Full understanding of all office systems including reservation software and basic office programs.
  • Full understanding of housekeeping standards and best practices.
  • Ability to understand basic maintenance concerns and request repairs as needed.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
